Shenley Brook End School

About Us

As Headteacher of Shenley Brook End School it’s my pleasure to welcome you to our website.

I have been a part of Shenley Brook End School since 2012 and have held a variety of roles and I am delighted to now be leading the school as Head of School. We are a large community of students, staff, parents and governors. As a school community we want everyone to ‘Belong, Believe, Become’. As a school we belong to our local community but also to a wider community of excellent schools that are part of the 5 Dimensions Trust.

Our unswerving desire to ensure that everyone Belongs starts when students, staff or parents first enter the building. The amazing experiences students have at Shenley Brook End in their lessons, through our extensive extracurricular programme and pastoral care build a commitment to the school and its ethos to Belong.

Our students’ qualities are as important as our qualifications. All students have the opportunity to excel through our innovative curriculum where we teach students through our language of learning ASK (Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge). We want our students to have the attitudes to succeed that employers value, the skills that will allow them to flourish in life alongside the knowledge that will ensure academic distinction. Through our commitment to a holistic education we help students to Believe in themselves and our school.

Our successful school has many successes through our fantastic CEIAG (Careers, Education and Independent Advice and Guidance) team we have achieved 100% of the Gatsby benchmarks; our students are in a very strong position to make informed decisions about their next steps in education. We successfully work with students throughout their time at SBE to help them to achieve their goals; we have helped students gain entry to the most prestigious universities and helped others to apply to great apprenticeships or alternative further education pathways. We are very proud that a number of staff that attended the school as children and are now working with us as teachers or support staff. Whatever students decide our aim is to help them to Become the best versions of themselves as proactive members of our community.
