A Level Results 2021

Many congratulations to our 6 Form students on the great results received today. It’s been another challenging year and I am delighted to see how they have risen to the challenge. 30% of students achieved an A*/A or equivalent and 55% of all students achieved A*-B or equivalent!

With the recent success of Team GB firmly in mind I am proud to be able to praise the resilience, determination, family support and teamwork during the last 18 months. To  have achieved these outcomes is reflective of the many qualities we have seen on our screens in recent weeks.

There are many success stories amongst these results. Aly Khimani achieved 3 A* and goes to Loughborough University to study Computer Science.  Joshua Hulmes’ two A* and two As open the door to study Medicine at the University of Southampton. The same grades lead Harvey Bowen to study Law at university in Birmingham. Ellie Morris also gained 2 grades at A* and goes to Northampton to study Criminology.

A number of students are following their dreams into creative routes. Congratulations to Jude Leese whose high grades mean he will study Film Practice in London, whilst Caitlyn Watson goes to the University of the Arts in London to study Fashion Marketing and Lucy Stevens goes to Lincoln to study Illustration.

Megan Warnell becomes our 4th successive undergraduate on the Mercedes-Benz Graduate Apprenticeship programme. This is highly competitive and a great achievement! A number of Double Distinction stars in Sport have set students on exciting pathways. Toby Draper goes to Leeds Beckett to do Sports Coaching, Jack Medley to Nottingham University to do Sport Science, Rohan Sawjani to UCFB for Football Business and Marketing and Neha Sureshkumar to University of Birmingham to study Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences.

So many congratulations to all of our students on their success this summer. I hope this summary gives you a flavour of the outcomes and destinations as a reflection of the teamwork and individual efforts that make our 6th form a happy and high achieving place. Congratulations also go to the students at The Hazeley Academy where there is a similarly impressive picture. We work closely together to create a vibrant community of exceptional people so it is great to be able to celebrate these exceptional outcomes as a community together.
