Shenley Brook End School

Press Release - regards to a reported COVID-19 case in the school

Press Release – Shenley Brook End School 18.09.2020

We have been advised by the public Health Protection Team that one of our students has tested positively for COVID-19. The school has followed its guidance and implemented its track and trace protocols and identified and contacted students and families.  A small group of students have been asked to go home and follow the correct procedures.  Relevant classrooms have been locked and will be deep cleaned.

At the start of term the school implemented a new timetable, a staggered day and new routines to limit movement around the building and to keep year groups separate. Parents are aware that in response to Covid-19, all surfaces in the building have been cleaned and protected using an innovative cleaning system which provides long lasting surface protection which continues to fight the virus long after conventional cleaning products have become inert.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with the Health Protection Team who are satisfied that the correct actions have been taken and that the school should remain open.
