FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Parents do not have to pay for school lunches if they receive any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Employment and Support Allowance - Income related only
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (NOT Contribution Based JSA)
  • National Asylum Seekers Support (NASS)
  • the Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit only (with a combined family income of less that £16,190 per annum as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs) - as at April 2013. (Please note anyone receiving Working Tax Credit, regardless of income, will NOT qualify for FSMs.)

Please note that the Government does not allow us to recognise any other benefit other than those mentioned above.


How to apply

To apply, you need to fill out an application form which you can get from school, by clicking here or on line at http://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/schools-and-lifelong-learning/information-for-parents/school-meals; or you can contact the Education Welfare Office on 01908 657802. If you are not sure, please contact Mrs Cunningham or Mrs Lannin at the school.

The current allocation for pupils in receipt of Free School Meals is £2.50 per day.
