JCQ DOCUMENTATION

What is the JCQ CIC?

The JCQ CIC is the Joint Council for Qualifications, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company.

What ARE THE AIMS OF THE JCQ cic?

JCQ CIC aims to:
Reduce bureaucracy for schools and colleges by facilitating and delivering common administrative arrangements for examinations.
Provide a forum for strategic debate, information exchange and expression of common interest amongst awarding bodies.
Enable member awarding bodies to jointly express views and collectively respond to national issues.
Provide a channel for collective discussion with key stakeholders including the HE sector, teachers, and their representative organisations.

In meeting these aims, JCQ CIC undertakes a wide range of activities including the publishing of national GCSE and A level results in August; handling enquiries from examiantion officers; and publishing advice, guidance and regulations on delivering examinations.

JCQ notices WITH COVERING LETTER

All candidates are issued will be issued with a printed copy this letter and its attachments prior to their first examination series in each academic year. It is important that candidates familiarise themselves with the rules and regulations for written examinations, on-screen tests, coursework/controlled assessments.

NB  The covering letter indicates that some of the JCQ attachments are "double-sided"; if you are looking at the PDF of the covering letter and JCQ documentation, all sheets are single sided.
